In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the historic April days, the whole country looked towards the anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, on April 15, 2017, businessman Nguyen Dang Hien joyfully received the Third-Class Labor Medal awarded by the President; The collective of employees of Tan Quang Minh Manufacture and Trading Co., Ltd. (Bidrico) received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for their achievements in: Technology investment, production, business, and charitable societies, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the fatherland.

Vietnam Quality Online had an interview with Mr. Nguyen Dang Hien – General Director of Tan Quang Minh Manufacture and Trading Co., Ltd. (Bidrico).

Over the past 25 years, what achievements has Bidrico achieved?

After 25 years of construction and development, the Board of Directors and all officers and employees of the Company have constantly strived to bring high quality beverage products trusted by Vietnamese consumers and confidently reaching international market. Bidrico currently has 12 departments, offices and factories built on an area of 15,000m2 with 12 modern lines using European technology for filling soft drinks of all kinds, including: 02 purified drinking water production lines, 01 Bird’s nest drink production line, 01 yogurt production line, 01 hot fill production line, 02 250ml and 330ml canned carbonated soft drink production lines, 02 0.5L and 1.25L PET bottled carbonated soft drink production lines, 01 fruit jelly production line, 01 cupped energy drink production line, 01 tubed fruit juice production line, etc. with a capacity of 100 million liters of product/year.

It is known that Bidrico was chosen as the main sponsor and official beverage for the APEC 2017 Submit, what do you think about this?

Bidrico’s small contribution to APEC 2017 is not only an enterprise’s responsibility to the country but also a great honor for us.

The National Committee for APEC 2017 trusts Bidrico purified drinking water products, Bidrico products have pure Vietnamese characteristics. Bidrico product quality meets the most stringent criteria of the United States and Japan. The package design is beautiful and luxurious.

Currently, Bidrico purified drinking water products have 3 capacities: 19L bottle for family, 0.35L and 0.5L PET bottles. The purified drinking water bottle 0.5L was the product trusted and chosen as the Official Drinking Water for the APEC 2017 Submit in Vietnam.

With a brand that has been affirmed through nearly 25 years of continuous efforts to develop and continuously improve itself, the quality of Bidrico’s products was affirmed. In particular, Bidrico purified drinking water products are filtered through activated carbon to deodorize, ion exchange system to eliminate heavy metals such as Iron, Copper, Lead, Zinc, Mercury, Arsenic, and Manganese. Water is continuously filtered through a fine filtration system of 0.2 microns, then sterilized by ultraviolet rays and treated with ozone through the reverse osmosis technology system of the US. Water samples are strictly controlled and taken monthly for content analysis and testing and produced according to the standards of Ho Chi Minh City Sub-Department of Food Hygiene and Safety. Bidrico also focuses on continuously improving package designs, making Bidrico purified drinking water products more beautiful, luxurious and convenient. Especially in 2016, Bidrico upgraded and invested in automatic filling lines with large capacity to meet market demand. The innovation of technology and equipment helped Bidrico improve product quality, thereby increasing the number of agents and consumption output with nearly 1,000 agents and hundreds of thousands of families using Bidrico bottled purified drinking water in Ho Chi Minh City as well as neighboring provinces.

What is Bidrico’s strategic vision in the future?

Bidrico’s vision is to become a famous beverage brand in the world. To achieve this, Bidrico must prepare itself thoroughly and comprehensively in terms of development strategy, management capacity, human resources, finance, etc. We will especially focus on investing in modernizing production machinery and technology, improving product quality, ensuring the supply of the best products that are beneficial to consumers’ health and expanding the Bidrico brand to five continents.

The fact that Bidrico’s purified drinking water product was chosen as the only product serving the APEC 2017 Forum was a new mark of Bidrico on its development journey. This is also an important step to bring the Bidrico brand to the international level and compete with the world’s leading beverage brands. That was also the most valuable luggage in the past 25 years for Bidrico to integrate and reach out to the ocean.

The year 2017 marked an important turning point for the Company by being chosen as the main drinking water sponsor of Apec 2017. Currently, Bidrico’s products have “covered” 63 provinces and cities nationwide and exported to more than 20 countries around the world.

Bidrico’s products were fully certified to meet international standards such as: ISO 9001: 2008, HALAL, HACCP and FDA, FCE and SID (according to US standards) which are also vivid proof to Bidrico’s commitment to top quality. This also means that Bidrico met all export standards to Asian, European, American and Muslim countries, etc.
